Billy (adopted August 15, 2013)

Good afternoon,

We adopted a black cat Billy in August of 2013, and we just wanted to let you know that Billy has settled into his new home just fine. He has some funny habits like playing in the bathtub and showers, only wanting to drink if the water is running, and he loves to sit at our screen door and watch the world go by. He is getting along with our other cat well, and they seem to be getting better together every day. It is fun to watch 5-year-old Billy attempt to tell our 13-year-old cat Austin that it is time to play.

Thank you to the UCHS for brining Billy into our lives, and when the time comes, we will adopt with you again.

Kind regards,

The Davidson Family

Buster (adopted Feb. 15, 2014)

Henry and Buster

Buster is now officially adopted!

FINALLY, we have officially adopted Buster.  The delay was worthwhile as Upper Credit assisted us in finding out how best to handle Buster's allergies.

From the first day when I met Buster, and he barked ferociously from his kennel (he was just excited and knew that when people came by it meant food or a walk), we fell for him. While the bark was pretty intimidating we watched the "tail" which was screaming "happy happy happy" let me out!

It is unfortunately that large dogs that get excited are passed by due to people thinking they are uncontrollable as this is simply not true. Buster (in his past life) was very well trained, knew all his commands and listens very attentively. His "featured animal sheet" described Buster perfectly: he is happy and simply wants to be with people all the time; however, is happy to relax with his new brother "Henry" also an Upper Credit rescue while we are out.

He loves attention, affection and belly rubs.  Upper Credit was the second kennel that Buster was transferred to due to the scary first impression that could be received. We are glad to make him part of our family. He's one big love machine but is a great guard dog when the need arises.  We are as happy to have him become one of our family as I'm sure he is.

Once again, thank you to Jody and all the staff and volunteers at Upper Credit Humane Society. The work you do is so very important.

Luna (lionhead rabbit) - adopted Dec. 17, 2013 - Be My Bunny Valentine!

Luna and Toby

Hi Folks at the UCHS!

Marika thought you would enjoy these pics of Luna (adopted from you last summer, but only officially in late 2013). I caught Luna and Toby in a Valentine love snuggle today.

We love her! Thanks so much for sheltering her!

Snickers (previously known as Lesley) - adopted in 2002

Hi I'd love to update you on Snickers whom I adopted in 2002 when she was two. Well, she's still obnoxious still only likes her bud Mr. Fluffles (also from you but I can't remember his name then). She's happy creating havoc in Saskatchewan now. Both just got clean bills of health and are going strong!

Ginger (formerly Joanne) - adopted Dec. 31, 2013

Ginger (formerly Joanne)
Ginger is getting along great with our other cats and our dog Buddy. She knows her new name too...she’s quiet and is fitting in well. We have not encountered any issues at all...we have a happy household of pets.

Thank you for the opportunity to find her and adopt her...

Happy New Year!

Leela (formerly Ellen) - adopted October 2012

Leela (formerly Ellen) - adopted October 2012

Good morning and happy new year!

I adopted a kitten of yours in October of 2012 and never got around to sending photos of her. Her name was Ellen (we changed it to Leela, for the sake of simplicity for our then 18 month old) and I attached a photo of her that was on your website.

She turned out to be a big lovable hairball! She gets along great with our daughter (and you know how children can sometimes be rough with cats!) and is super gentle and friendly even with strangers!

Anyhow just thought I'd share a couple pictures of her, taken this morning. We couldn't be happier!

Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication!
