Sassy (formerly Henry)

Sassy (formerly known as Henry) is a bichon frise who arrived at the shelter in January under the stray banner. We had to completely shave him as it was difficult to tell which end was which. He needed neutering, vet checks and through the Trooper's Fund, he had 26 teeth removed.

Sassy was so lucky to be adopted by his new Mum...the match is perfect and Sassy adores his walkies, his home cooked meals, his grooming, the dogs he meets on walks and most of all snuggles, kisses and loves with his Mum. I was told that he has the most pleasant loving disposition and she could not imagine life without him.

This was another terrific placement bringing joy to both lives ... he is definitely the king of the castle... and we are all so pleased for this cute little guy! Thanks to everyone at UCHS from Sassy and his Mum...for the opportunity of a new life.

Moe

JoAnne sent me these pictures of Moe…he is absolutely adored and perfect for their family and extended family.  He lives a wonderful life;  loves romping on their large acreage; enjoying car rides, meeting people and is now friends with their elderly cat….couldn’t be a better match all round … this was a wonderful placement…

Finnigan - back from Wales!!!

We have returned back to Canada. I adopted Finn in August of 2004 from the Centre. We have spent 8 wonderful years together in Wales. We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone now that we are home. Finnigan has come a long way since his accident in 2004. The article written about the accident and the wonderful work that the Society did for him can be found at http://news.haltonhills.halinet.on.ca/108520/page/17?n&vFW=1600&vFH=1000
I will be truly grateful always for the gift of Finnigan

Pepper (Lucy) and Sunny (Charm)

I wanted to let you guys at the shelter know that Lucy, now named Pepper, is
fitting in really well with our other cats and seems to be recovering from
her cold. I put her on L-Lysine pills which I  got at the drug store
which is a herpes pill for humans and give to her. Vitalys is a brand name specific
for Cats and you can only buy online....not in the drug store. Just for
future reference if other people need to find this....it will save them from
all the running around I had to do.

Pepper (aka Lucy) is such a little sweetie and has become fast friends with
Sunny (aka Charm). I will send photo's of Blue (aka LA Woman) and Dutchy
(aka York) when I can.

Cheers,

Shadow and Marmalade

Lucky Kitties!! Now that's contentment!

Chelsea

Here are a couple of pics from her adoptive home, with her “husband” Toby. Both are fixed and madly in love with each other and the older son in the home. They’re apparently a “bonded trio”. :)
From her “mom”:
“Chelsea hangs around while the boys play lego. She will toss a man from time to time and will even agree to be part of the process. Here she is acting as a Star Wars Bantha!”
“After breakfast they always assume the position of 'conjoined bunnies' so I can stroke their cheeks at the same time. It is my favourite place to have my morning coffee now! Bunnies are the BEST!”
